How to Submit a Return to Central Site For Diagnostics

Sending a return to Central Site for diagnostics means you are sending it up without sending it to the IRS. This is usually done at the request of a software support agent when we may need to troubleshoot issues related to a specific return. 

1. From within the tax return, click the Queue button from the tax return toolbar.

2. Click Next.

3. In the Queue Return for Transmission window, select the Submit for Diagnostics check box. A notes section will open to allow comments to be sent to the development team. Click Queue to send.

4. Click Transmit, and when the "Transmit to Central Site" dialog appears, click Transmit again to send to central site.

NOTE: It may be normal to receive a notification that the return was “refused” by Central Site when submitting a return for diagnostics.
