How to Auto-Generate Taxpayer PIN

To automatically generate the taxpayer PIN

The Auto-Generate PINs function allows the preparer to automatically generate the taxpayer PIN listed on the 1040. 

1. Access the software with an Administrative Access Level.
2. Click on the Setup menu and select Office Setup.
3. Click on the E-Filing tab.
4. Check the box for Auto-Generate PINs box.
5. Click OK.
