Customizing Electronic Filing Preferences
To set up your electronic filing preferences, follow these steps:
- On the Setup menu, select Office Setup.
- Click the Electronic Filing Tab and complete the following information
- Default EFIN - Default Electronic Filer Identification Number
- Default SBIN - Default Service Bureau Identification Number
- IRS TeleTax Number - Local IRS TeleTax Number - Prints on ACK Letter
- No Cross collection in NY/ME - Disable Bank Debt Indicator Check
- Discard ACK Letters - Delete IRS Acknowledgement Letter from Central Site
- Auto Generate PINs - Check-box to Auto Generate PINs on forms
- Require Preparation Fee - Require Prep Fees on RAC Returns (1040 ONLY)
- Require Signature print data - Require signature print date
- Leave the Tax Return Status at Acknowledged for Bank Products - Don’t set the completed status for Returns with Bank Products
- Leave the Tax Return Status at Acknowledged for Non-Bank Products - Don’t set the completed status for Returns with Non-Bank Products
- Prompt to File State Electronically - See note on img below
- Click OK after the desired configuration is completed.
