Customizing Electronic Filing Preferences

 

To set up your electronic filing preferences, follow these steps:

  1. On the Setup menu, select Office Setup.
  2. Click the Electronic Filing Tab and complete the following information
    1. Default EFIN - Default Electronic Filer Identification Number 
    2. Default SBIN - Default Service Bureau Identification Number
    3. IRS TeleTax Number - Local IRS TeleTax Number - Prints on ACK Letter
    4. No Cross collection in NY/ME - Disable Bank Debt Indicator Check
    5. Discard ACK Letters - Delete IRS Acknowledgement Letter from Central Site
    6. Auto Generate PINs - Check-box to Auto Generate PINs on forms
    7. Require Preparation Fee - Require Prep Fees on RAC Returns (1040 ONLY)
    8. Require Signature print data - Require signature print date
    9. Leave the Tax Return Status at Acknowledged for Bank Products - Don’t set the completed status for Returns with Bank Products
    10. Leave the Tax Return Status at Acknowledged for Non-Bank Products - Don’t set the completed status for Returns with Non-Bank Products
    11. Prompt to File State Electronically - See note on img below
  3. Click OK after the desired configuration is completed.
