How to Enter Form 1098-E, Student Loan Interest Statement, in a Tax Return

Form 1098-E

To enter a Form 1098-E, Student Loan Interest Statement, follow these steps:

1.  From within the return, select Add Form, and then click the Index Tab.
2. Double click 1098E – Student Loan Interest Statement to add the SCH 1 to the return. 

   

3. Place cursor in Box 20 of the SCH 1 & select the Worksheet button. 

   

4. Enter amount in box & tap Enter to calculate.
