How to Switch Forms 1040A /1040EZ to Form 1040

This article only applies to returns done for TaxYear 2018 & prior.

Steps to switch Form 1040A to a 1040

1. On the "Attached Forms" pane, right click FORM 1040A and then click Remove Form. You will not lose any tax return information during this process.
2. Once the Delete Form dialog appears, click OK. The software switches the main form to Form 1040.

Steps to switch Form 1040EZ to a 1040

1. On the "Attached Forms" pane, right click FORM 1040EZ and then click Remove Form. You will not lose any tax return information during this process.
2. Once the Delete Form dialog appears, click OK. The software switches the main form to Form 1040.
