Invalid RAC routing number Message When Verifying a Return

Symptoms

In verifying a tax return, the following verification error is given:

’Invalid RAC Routing number’

  

Cause

This issue can occur if the routing number on the bank application is invalid.

 

Resolution

1. In the tax return containing the error, under the Attached Forms list, double click on FRM 8879.
2. Change the Refund Type from 5 to 1 and press ENTER.
3. Change the Refund Type from 1 to 5 and press ENTER.
4. The verify error message will no longer be present.
