Error Message: Internet Explorer cannot download FILENAME.pdf from local host...." While Printing a Tax Return

Symptoms

In printing a tax return as a PDF, the following error message appears: 

’Internet Explorer cannot download FILENAME.pdf from local host.
Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site.
The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.’

  

Cause

This error can occur if Adobe Reader is not installed, or is not a current version.
 

Resolution

Install a PDF viewer, such as Adobe Reader (https://get.adobe.com/reader/)
