Error Message : Permissions to Save are disabled, contact your System Administrator if changes are required.

Permissions Registry

The following error message appears in attempting to open Office Setup, Printer Setup, or Local Setup: 

The cause for this error message is that certain settings in the program are saved to the registry on the local computer. When opening Office Setup, Printer Setup, or Local Setup, the program issues this error when it does not have permission to the registry.

 To resolve this you can edit the shortcut to run as admin in most cases.

1. Right click the shortcut and go to properties.

   

2. Click the Advance button.

   

3. Check the box to Run as administrator and click OK.
4. Click OK again and test.

NOTE: Windows in this case refers to admin rights rather than program user permissions.
