Forms 8879 or 8453 Do Not Print While Printing a Final Tax Return

Symptoms

When printing a Final Tax Return, Form 8879 or 8453 do not print. However, Form 8879/8453 will print when printing bank documents.

  

Cause

This behavior will occur if the program is configured to print Forms 8879 or 8453 with bank documents.

 

Resolution

1. Log into the program as an administrator.
2. From the Work In Progress (WIP) screen, on the top menu select Setup > Printer Setup.
3. Click the Print Options tab.
4. Uncheck the Print 8879/8453 with Bank Documents check box and click OK.

   

 

The 8879/8453 should now print with the final tax return.
