Program Prints Without Prompting for Signature Request

Symptoms

In printing a tax return, the program will print the tax return without giving the option to capture the taxpayer’s signature. 

   Cause

This behavior can occur if the program is not configured to prompt for a tax return PDF.

Resolution

NOTE: These step are only valid for program version 2007 and later. Signature pad is not supported for program years prior to 2007.  

1. Log into the program as a user with Administrator privileges.
2. From the top menu, select Setup > Printer Setup.
3. Check the Prompt for Tax Return PDF check box.
   

   

4. Click OK.
