Resetting the AES Key

You can reset the encryption key through one of the system utilities so that there is no longer an AES key. This can be helpful when prior year information will not pull forward due to an AES key mismatch. You can also set it to a new value.

Resetting the AES key to a blank value:

1. Open the software.
2. Go to Utility > System Utilities.
3. Select Reset Encryption Key.
4. Press Run Utility.
5. Enter the ADMIN password in the New Admin Login Password field.
6. Enter the ADMIN password in the New User Login Password field.
7. Press OK.

Resetting the AES key to a new value:

1. Open the software.
2. Go to Utility > System Utilities.
3. Select Reset Encryption Key.
4. Press Run Utility.
5. Enter the desired AES key in the New Encryption Key field.
6. Enter the ADMIN password in the New Admin Login Password field.
7. Enter the ADMIN password in the New User Login Password field.
8. Press OK.
