Verify Error "Invalid RT/ERC Account Number - Check Setup Options"

Symptoms

When verifying fatal error displays: 

’Invalid RT/ERC Account Number -  Check Setup Options’

Cause

The deposit information on the Form 8879 has been altered.

This can happen due to a SSN change or by the ERO trying to update RAC bank deposit information on the 8879 instead of the bank app.

Resolution

1. Go to the Form 8879
2. Click on the EFIN in the top right corner.
3. Click on Choices on the bottom left.  

    

   

    

4. Highlight your EFIN
5. Click OK.

   

6. Select Verify again.
