Error Message: "xlink32.exe - system error - can’t start because mfc140.dll" When Opening the 2021 Program

Symptoms

When opening the program, the following message appears:

’xlink32.exe - System Error’

Resolution

1. From the workstation
2. Navigate to the install folder on the host machine (through network)
3. Right click on application VC_redist.x86
4. Run application as administrator
   • 
5. Reboot PC if the installer tells you to -or- Attempt to open the program from the workstation again.
