Program Error ’wrong when connecting with SSL’

Symptoms

When emailing a return in either 2021 or 2022 Software you are met with this SSL error.
’TextLink-Failure!’
'SSL/TLS connection/handshake error'

Cause

Antivirus' Email Shield is blocking outgoing emails with attachments.
Occurs in versions 2021.039 and 2022.015+

Resolution

From the antivirus' settings, turn off email shield for outgoing mail or turn off email shield altogether if turning off only outgoing mail is not an option.

1. Open up their antivirus and click on Menu at the top-right
   

   

2. Click on Settings
   

   

3. Click on Protection on the left-hand side
   

   

4. Click on Core Shields
5. Click on Mail Shield
   
6. Uncheck Scan outbound emails (SMTP)
