Online Program > Generating a New 2FA QR Code

If you choose to utilize the 2FA QR code when logging into 1040 Online and need to generate a new 2FA QR code for the multifactor authentication process, follow the instructions below:

1. Click on the Profile menu dropdown.
2. Click Generate NEW 2FA QR Code.
3. Enter in your current password.
4. Click Generate Code.
5. The new 2FA QR code will appear on your screen.
   

   

6. Scan the new multifactor authentication QR code with your preferred authentication app.
7. Click Continue to Login.
8. Login with your new 2FA QR Code from the login page.
