Creating a Restore File

NOTE: Not all versions of the 1040 Software will have access to the following options.

1. From the Main Office Software select Utility and Create Restore File.
2. Enter the path that the restore file will be saved to.
3. Enter the User ID of the subsite and press OK.
4. Upload the resulting file using the following link: https://www3.mydocsonline.com/cupload.aspx?id=empportal&donebutton=yes
5. Ask a lead to create a downloadable link for the user requesting the restore file.

Note: If e-mailing the .xf# file to the subsite you may need to send the file in a .zip because the .xf# is not a recognized file format.
Note: The 1040 restore file will be in the form of a .xf# file (business returns .xb#) where the number represents the last number in the submitting tax year.
