Online Program > Error ’ERO Signature Missing’

Symptoms

When trying to print from within a return the following error occurs.

’ERO Signature Missing. This print functionality will not be enabled...’

 

Cause

Verify that the office states 'signed' for ERO SIGNATURE.

Resolution

Assign/Link the first EFIN/Office login with a preparer.

1. Log into the 1040 Online program as a user with EFIN/Office rights
2. Navigate to Office Settings
3. Select Logins
4. Hover over the Active Status EFIN/Office Login & Click the 3 Vertical Dots  to EDIT that login.
   

   

5. Use the drop down for Link to Preparer to assign a preparer.
6. Save work once complete.
   

   

7. Verify print project within return doesn't populate an error.
