How to Create a Return for Puerto Rico Residents (1040-SS)

It is best to start this process with a newly created return and NO other forms added. If there are any 1040 related forms within the return or options for 1040-SS won't populate.

1. From the Client Data form within the return
2. Check the box if filing Form 1040-SS
   

   

3. Click the Add Form button 
4. Double click the 1040-SS form within the list 
   

   

5. The 1040-SS should be the main filing form presented in the return for processing.
