EMP Error: ’Bank application was not created - Incorrect Business Type

Symptoms:

When submitting bank application for TPG or Republic the following error occurs.
’Bank application was not created.’

Cause:

Questions regarding the Business Structure not answered correctly within the bank application.

Resolution:

TPG Bank application locations for correction:

EFIN Owner Information tab > EFIN Owner Corporation Type must have the same entity type as data found on General Information > Business Type

Republic Bank application locations for correction:

EFIN Owner Information tab > EFIN Owner Corporation Type must have the same entity type as data found on Office Information > Legal Entity Status

The answer to the question should reflect what Business Structure was selected within the IRS EFIN application.
