How to Move Updates to a Transfer Installation
To update a Transfer installation (non-transmitting copy of the program), a copy of the updates from the Transmitting PC will need to be manually moved over.
QUICK RESOLUTION STEPS
Step 1: Back up files on up-to-date program
- From inside the software, Click the Utility menu and select Updates.
- Click Browse to select where to save the back up files
- Click the Create Disk(ette) Tab.
- Select All or apply checkmark to the specific package that needs to be copied over.
- Select the Create button.
**These files can be moved to the Transfer installation using the preferred media**
(USB flash drive, e-mail, network, etc.)
Step 2: Load the backup files on the program that is out-of-date
- In the program, go to Utility and select Updates again.
- Click the Load Updates Tab.
- Click Browse to to select the location where the updates are stored.
- Select the Load Button to load the updates.
DETAILED RESOLUTION STEPS
Step 1: Back up files on up-to-date program
- On the Work In Progress screen, click the Utility menu and then click Updates. Important Note: Check for new updates daily.
- In the Software Updates window, click the Create Disk(ette) Tab.
- Click Browse to navigate to the location where the Update files will be saved.
- Select the required updates.
- Once all updates are selected, click the Create Button. The updates will now be saved in the location designated.
Step 2: Load the backup files on the Transfer Installation
- From the Work In Progress screen of the Software that needs updates, click the Utility menu and then click Updates.
- In the Software Updates window, click the Load Updates Tab.
- Click the Browse Button to browse to the location where Updates were saved.
- Select the updates that you want to load.
- Once you have selected all the updates, click the Load Button.
