How to Move Updates to a Transfer Installation

To update a Transfer installation (non-transmitting copy of the program), a copy of the updates from the Transmitting PC will need to be manually moved over. 

QUICK RESOLUTION STEPS

Step 1: Back up files on up-to-date program

  1. From inside the software, Click the Utility menu and select Updates.
  2. Click Browse to select where to save the back up files
  3. Click the Create Disk(ette) Tab.
  4. Select All or apply checkmark to the specific package that needs to be copied over.
  5. Select the Create button.

**These files can be moved to the Transfer installation using the preferred media**
(USB flash drive, e-mail, network, etc.)


Step 2: Load the backup files on the program that is out-of-date

  1. In the program, go to Utility and select Updates again.
  2. Click the Load Updates Tab.
  3. Click Browse to to select the location where the updates are stored.
  4. Select the Load Button to load the updates.

DETAILED RESOLUTION STEPS

Step 1: Back up files on up-to-date program

  1. On the Work In Progress screen, click the Utility menu and then click Updates. Important Note: Check for new updates daily. 
  2. In the Software Updates window, click the Create Disk(ette) Tab.
  3. Click Browse to navigate to the location where the Update files will be saved.
  4. Select the required updates.
  5. Once all updates are selected, click the Create Button. The updates will now be saved in the location designated.

Step 2: Load the backup files on the Transfer Installation

  1. From the Work In Progress screen of the Software that needs updates, click the Utility menu and then click Updates.
  2. In the Software Updates window, click the Load Updates Tab.
  3. Click the Browse Button to browse to the location where Updates were saved.
  4. Select the updates that you want to load.
  5. Once you have selected all the updates, click the Load Button.
