Error Message re: Module/Runtime/Exception When Opening the Networked 2021 Program from a Workstation

Symptoms

When opening the networked 2021 desktop program from a workstation you receive the following error message.

’Unable to load module overlay/barcode.000’
or
’Unable to load module overlay/mfcole.001’
or
'C0000005 Xlink exception error'
or
'Runtime error'

Cause

The software requires a Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable x86.

Resolution

1. From the workstation.
2. Navigate to the install folder on the host machine (through network) and then the utils folder.
3. Right click on application VC_redist.x86
4. Run application as administrator.

5. Reboot PC if the installer tells you to -or- Attempt to open the program from the workstation again.
