Error Message: State attached does not include any forms in Verifying a Return

Symptoms

When verifying a tax return, the following verify error appears:

’Client Data - State attached does not include any forms’

  

Cause

The state tax return may not be fully completed, or the state tax return has other issues.

 

Resolution

To clear this verification error, the state tax return must either be completed or removed.

 

Resolution 1: Complete the state return.

Add any necessary forms and enter the necessary information to complete the state return.

 

Resolution 2: Delete the attached state.

 

1. Open the tax return.
2. In the Attached Forms pane, right click the state to be removed and select Remove State.

   

    

3. The state will be removed from the tax return.
