How to Uninstall The Tax Software

This article provides steps on how to remove the Tax Software Program. Important Note: Uninstalling the program through Apps & features does not remove any tax information or stored data.

Removing The Program From a Computer with Windows 11

1. Navigate to the Search field, type Add or Remove Programs to launch the Installed Apps page.
2. Locate the program and use the 3 dots located on the left to access the menu for options.
   
   
3. Select Uninstall.
   

Removing The Program From a Computer with Windows 10

Note: There are multiple ways to access the settings function within windows 10 

1. Navigate to the bottom Right of the monitor where the clock/date display, click on the communication bubble 
2. Select the All Settings button to access the App section 

    

3. Scroll or Search for the program to remove.
4. Click on the app & select the Uninstall option 

   

Removing The Program From a Computer with Windows 8

1. Access the "Start" Screen:
2. Press the Windows Key or hover the cursor in the bottom-left corner of the screen until a small image of the "Start" Screen appears, then click on the icon to toggle over to the "Start" Screen.
3. Locate the program year in question on the list displayed.
4. Right click on the icon. A check mark will appear in the right corner to indicate an application has been selected.
5. Click Uninstall on the toolbar that appears at the bottom of the screen. The Programs and Features window will open.
6. Verify the correct program year is highlighted, then press Uninstall.
