The program uses the current Windows user name as the programs login name.
This issue can occur if any of the following are true:
- The “Use Windows Login” check box is selected on the "Login Accounts" screen.
- The “Use Windows Login” check box was selected in a prior-year and the system settings were carried forward.
Program 2010 and later:
1. Log into the program as a user with administrator rights.
2. From the top menu, select Setup->Office Setup.
3. On the Defaults tab, clear the Use Windows Login Name check box.
4. Click OK to close the Applications Settings window.
Program 2009 and earlier:
1. Log into the program as a user with administrator rights.
2. From the top menu, select Setup->Office Setup.
3. Clear the Use Windows Login check box.
4. Click OK to close the Login Accounts window.
The program is now configured to leave the “Login” field blank when opening the program.
